What a time!
William was in Darmstadt for 8 Weeks, looking intensively for a home for us. It was a difficult task with 4 or 5 people in line at the same time interested in renting a place as well. With the weak $, we needed a smaller apartment that still could squeeze 6 people into it. He finally found one on the first floor above a small appliance store and is over one-third smaller than what we have now. We are needing help with the moving costs. We need $3300 for the Realtors fee and $2750 for the two month down payment, plus many other costs involved with moving, as anybody who has moved will know.
With the $ at all time lows and gasoline at all time highs, we would ask that you consider a monthly increase to help us cover these increased monthly costs and to help us not have to leave to take a long furlough to raise the extra funds needed to stay in Germany. Without your prayers and financial support, the work here in Germany can not go on. In 2002 we could buy 1 Euro for $0.89, now we must pay almost $1.60 for 1 Euro. Gasoline is now at $9.50 a gal.

What a miracle!
As we have reported in the past, William’s mother, Betty has not been well. In May, right before Mother’s Day, Betty went downhill. She was very lethargic and not eating, not recognizing anyone. Thanks to the Lord and computer technology William was able to talk to his mother over the internet with a webcam. She was very unresponsive at first, but then she began to realize who was talking to her and she “woke up” and responded and wanted something to eat (for the first time in 3 days). Then Mother’s Day night we had a big scare! The Doctors told them to get the family together, as Betty was not going to make it. She had a stroke on the way to the hospital and was not expecting to make it through.
However 2 days later, again over the internet, William was able to talk to her and she was more alert then she had been in a long time. Now, six weeks later, she is out galavanting, if you can call it that. She still needs help getting into her wheelchair, but once in the wheel chair, she can go just about anywhere. Where as before you could only talk about 10 minutes on the phone, now she wants to talk and talk. Dad’s comments were: “I finally have my wife back!” Thank you for praying!
Serving Together,
William, Kathleen and Family
