Sales
We had two salesmen come by the house. Once they found out that we are church planters, the conversation quickly changed from what they originally came for. Their interest turned to why we are here and how God directed us to Germany. The one salesman wanted to know and the other was a bit exasperated at first, but as William spoke, the Holy Spirit worked on his heart and he also began to listen. For almost two hours, we were able to share our purpose for being in Germany, what the Lord has done for them personally and how they can trust God with their lives. They both left interested and with literature in their hands. Please pray for Michael M. and Jonas K.

Opportunity
The Doorbell rings. William answers the door and Donja, the girl next door, says, “We have a problem with oil burnt in our pan. Do you know how to clean this?” Puzzled at her question, William steps outside to see a smoke filled kitchen. William realizing that something needs to be done quickly, runs into the kitchen. The smoke was so thick it was impossible to see anything. As the smoke burnt his eyes, he inadvertedly inhaled the smoke. He loses his orientation and begins to feel like he would pass out. He continues along till he finds the window. Success! Window open and then back out quickly. The neighbors who had all seen this “self-less” or perhaps more “foolish” act of bravery, were amazed. New doors opened!

The next day, December 19th, our 20th Wedding Anniversary, Kathleen had the privilege of helping our Lebanese neighbors clean up from that smoke mess. She helped Sahim clean her kitchen and living room to help get rid of the smell in the house. Later in the week, Kathleen was able to spend some time getting to know her better and help her with paperwork for the government. We have been sowing seeds with their children already through our weekly children meetings and now this has opened up new opportunities with the parents. Please pray for Hassim, Sahim and Family.

It is always a blessing to receive Christmas cards! We hang them on our door in the living room and when people come to visit during the advent, they always remark about all our cards that we have from all over the world! What a great door opener to share Christ with those here! Thank you for the cards and keep sending them to our field address!!
An extra big thanks to our churches who sacrificed and sent a special Christmas love offering this year !!! This was an extra big blessing! Thank you from our whole family! We have a new family picture on our website. Please download and print to preferred size for your missions board.
