Family Update
In our last letter, we asked you to pray for William‘s parents, Gary and Betty Busch and their health situation. They both have problems with their back, as well as the MS(father), cancer(both), deteriorating Spine(mother), and pinched nerves(both). They had to get a hospital bed for his Dad. A few days before William flew stateside, his Dad’s MS got worse and he was not able to walk, but he is now able to get himself from the bed to the wheelchair and take a few steps on his own.
His mother will be going back in for surgery on her back again. They will remove the cage from her lower spine and try removing the cement from the spine where 3 nerves have been pinched since the first surgery, then they will be making the cage longer this time to hold more of the spine together. The last time it was too short and the spine above has deteriorated and has moved to the side. This will be a 10 to 12 hour surgery. The surgery has been postponed from the April 29th till August or thereafter.
This is very hard on both of them as they wish to be independent as much as possible. Please continue to pray for them, their health and their doctors to make the right decisions.
Travel Update
During this short furlough, William visited some of our faithful supporting churches giving an update on God’s work here in Eastern Germany. William was also able to visit a few new churches as well. After driving app. 5,000 miles through 8 States, visiting 16 churches in two months, William arrived back in Germany on April 20th! The kids and Kathy were very happy to have him back!!
William‘s trip to the states was two-fold. It was to visit some of our churches who have been supporting us some 13 or more years and we had not been able to revisit them. He also visited a few new churches in order to raise new support!
Dollar Update
The Dollar lost another 5 cents during the two months he was in the states. This means it costs us another $200 a month to transfer our American Dollars to Euros. Please pray that God will make it possible for new churches to start supporting us and that supporting churches would be able to raise their monthly support level.
